- Still no diversity at the most senior positions, everyone who was promoted to Managing Director this year was white (but that's common at all Financial Corporation)
- BlackRock only recruits from ivy league Schools (where the candidates are predominantly white or Asian) , so that doesn't help improve the diversity
-I dont think BlackRock even knows what HBCU stands for
-Not that much flexibility for admins
-There is only one black person in the Group Executive Committee and maybe 2 or 3 white females, the remaining 15 are white men
-Contractors/contingent workers don't come onboard fulltime until they have completed 12-18 months which is FAR TOO LONG.....6 months is more than sufficient.
-Admin salaries tend to be MUCH lower than other companies.....most of the admins that I know at Goldman make 120k/year on a base, with bonus they reach 150k. At Blackrock you'll be lucky if they offer you 80k on a base. They also dont take into consideration what you made previously, I think by law they dont ask, but they also dont negotiate, they offer you what they offer everyone else. so if you come in with 2yrs experience, they will pay you the same as someone with 10yrs experince.
