Pros
Great diverse group of individuals in the trenches with you who actually care. you make friends here you keep forever.
Cons
How valuable are your mental health and self worth, exactly? What price tag could you possibly put on those things? You’d say there isn’t one, but working here you’ll find there is, and the price is low. You will be underpaid, undervalued, but always kept at arms length for that “next big thing” you’re so close to. It’s a hamster wheel you won’t be able to find a way out of because they will always push “you don’t know what other companies are like, grass isn’t always greener…” 15 years at Dell and never one customer escalation, one missed quota, one interaction that couldn’t be remedied with a quick chat and constantly at the top of every staff ranking still got me affected by the WFR. You will be tasked with “extra credit” assignments to prove your worth, to act as a coach (official role within Dell you’ll do for free) and train peers to show initiative then be given 20 reasons about your personality being the reason you don’t qualify “this time.” You will inevitably wonder “what is so wrong with me?”
