Pros
Truly global bank, diversity Socially responsible firm that sponsors charities and the arts Strong balance sheet so jobs are safe in this tough environment Some great people to work with from all over the world Pretty laid back atmosphere compared to other investment banks Easy to get promoted/fast tracked if you work hard, not psycho competitive like other banks, but requires quite a bit of ass kissing
Cons
Technology is very old Lots of manual processes, very little automation Extremely political, not a real meritocracy at all Very slow to make decisions Tons of red tape: need all kinds of sign-offs to do even simple/unimportant things Tons of redundency and segregation of duties makes it hard to get anything done because no one "owns" anything
