Pros
Nice campus Free lunch (though portion sizes aren't great and hope you like rocket, there’s no end of it!) A bunch of highly skilled, fun team mates who you’ll learn loads from!
Cons
Engineers are underpaid Undergraduates are paid more than a senior design engineer when they graduate - you will be less valued than a student if you join below concept lead level in RDD Terrible atmosphere of mistrust from the board, disregard for employee satisfaction (you’ll be seen as an easily replaceable cog in the machine) Huge numbers of people currently leaving - this should tell you all you need to know You’ll have to pay for the product, even if you are working in RDD - don’t expect to get your hands on machines and get to really understand them, unless you want to fork it out of your wallet Bonus scheme is rigged to save the business money by purposely preventing some from getting a bonus No reward for hard work or delivering projects - unless you like being given a pizza from the work cafeteria - seriously, no meals out or Thankyous Board members are often late to meetings and have been rude to employees No paid overtime and holiday can’t be over run into the next year - use it or loose it Massive culture of competition to get promotion. If you are pally with the managers then great, otherwise you’ll be stuck at your level no matter how hard you try. I worked at Dyson for nearly 5 years and this is my open, honest feedback.
