Pros
Frequent team outings like Diwali lunches, Women’s Day dinners, and team dinners/lunches that foster bonding. Good infrastructure and decent work-life balance in some projects. Opportunity to work with reputed clients and gain enterprise-level exposure.
Cons
After returning from maternity leave, I was scheduled for client interviews on my very first day without any preparation time, which was both unexpected and inconsiderate. When I couldn’t clear two client interviews, I was pressured to switch to a completely new technology (Scala) with only two days of intense training. Despite clearly communicating that, as a new mother, I wasn’t ready to learn an entirely new tech stack at that phase, my request to continue with my existing skill set was denied. I was forced to attend weekend Scala trainings, complete assignments, quizzes, and exams — which added unnecessary stress. There's a lack of empathy and flexibility for returning mothers. Office politics is deeply rooted and often overshadows performance and capability.
