Pros
Training salary is 70% of your last 2 year tax return average. Immediate benefits. Training is paid. But the good training only comes if you survive the initial field training.
Cons
Dishonesty among the ranks in regards to job stability, including HR staff. Must work 60+ hours unless you perform above average. It’s easy to believe all you have to do is pass the national and state exams, but this is not true. You must accept aggressive treatment and threats of termination on every call/meeting. And they mean it, you will walk a fine line or they will terminate you. The only time you will have leverage is if you become profitable and that will take 3+ years. They don’t care what you are capable of, if you push back any at all, they will fire you. They want cult members, not independent thinkers. You will have to teach yourself, field trainers may not give you the time of day, but you will be held accountable for what you don’t know. if you have no sales experience or corporate experience, proceed with caution. You must be able to learn on your own and work all alone, no excuses. Excuses will not be accepted no matter how legitimate they may be.
