Friendly but lacking culture - Associate Software Engineer Fidelity Investments Employee Review

Never felt comfortable asking questions, always felt on my own with code I didn’t understand or know what it was for Management making a lot of changes that show distrust in their employees (more time in office and more strict time tracking) or cost cutting (changing a $300 annual health credit into an overpriced gym membership everyone hated) Not much opportunity for advancement, company is in cost cutting mode and limiting lateral moves or promotions, Seems like they’d rather spread those jobs around to other team members or hire cheap 8-10 month contracts to avoid raises or paying out more in benefits
