Pros
All the responsibility you can handle at a young age. Lots of exposure to executives in the industry you rate and also to the investors and bankers in the sector. Compensation is very fair, but being in NYC and so close to the big money makes you feel poorer than you are.
Cons
Washington and the SEC have so shackled the Big 3 raters as to make life here a constant hassle. 40% of your time or more will be spent on regulatory compliance activities. For this reason I quit.
