Pros

Strong global presence with a deep database. Good opportunities for global mobility and in general, the Hays brand is easily recognizable anywhere in the world.

Cons

Terrible working culture. Clear divide between expats and asians. MD is a money pincher who is only interested in her bonus and works hard to keep bottom line costs down but at the same time, expats who don't make any money for the business across many months are allowed to stay while Asians who don't make money after 2 months are put on performance reviews. What they say in the interviews BEFORE you get on board the business and what you get AFTER you're on board the business is very different. Get ready for loads of fake promises (unless you're dating a director. In which case, you can do whatever you want). This place is rife with MASSIVE internal politics that we'd put soap operas to shame.

Thank you for your feedback - this is very concerning and I shall flag to the MD of Singapore for them to review and action because this is not what Hays stands for.

Pros

Great place for new recruiters to gain experience. A lot to learn. Younger crowd, fun teams.

Cons

Competitive, people that weren't succeeding would be put on PIPs and eventually let go. Can be some micro-managing. Not all managers created equal - some great, some not so great.
