Pros

Hays is a meritocracy, they recognise and reward hard work. This is reflected in commision, incentive days, campaign prizes and trips/days out. They hold christmas and summer conferences which other companies I have worked for do not. The atmosphere in my office in particular is fun, lively and full of hard working keen consultants - it is a nice environment to work in. The support I recieve from management is great - they make me feel valued and guide me when I need help.

Cons

Long hours. Hard when you want time off taking time out of your desk is very stressful so makes taking time off stressful.

Thanks for your feedback from the Maidstone office. I appreciate that when working a busy desk, taking time off can be stressful but we do encourage you to take your annual leave entitlement. May I suggest speaking to your management team about how best to cover your desk while you're on leave so you are confident the desk is being managed in your absence thus allowing you to enjoy your holiday. I am more than happy to give you my personal tips should you wish to discuss this further. Jenna Alexander, Head of Internal Recruitment, UK&I.
