Pros
I find the work to be technically interesting. I meet interesting people and get to travel to various places that I otherwise would not visit. Company management can be helpful in finding new contracts to work for. Interactions with coworkers / clients have so far been good.
Cons
The work is based on the specific contract and there isn't much flexibility around it. The working hours can be long at times. The work environment is determined by our client and may not be as comfortable as a traditional corporate setting. If the client site is closed on a particular day (ie. extreme weather), we have to use our vacation time for that day.
