Pros
Early finish on a Friday, along with a 4 day bank holiday weekend. Good work/life balance, and social side in my department. Thankfully my own department manager is very hands on, and encourages development wherever possible. There is room for growth if you get in at the right time and have the right people backing you, and also because they are an international company there is a chance of working abroad.
Cons
Some office managers/directors seem very out of touch with the staff, and seem to prefer getting involved with the politics on a project instead of helping the engineers with their input which shackles the design. Jacobs have a target every year for growth (think its 15%) but by focusing on this they might be forgetting about their existing staff needs, therefore halting company development locally. Seems to go against there "People are our greatest asset" motto. I understand that experience can be invaluable but there's not enough investment in youth.
