Pros

In the UK, absolutely nothing. I am writing this only as a warning to those who might be considering a career at Ketchum. There are so many great agencies out there. This isn't one of them.

Cons

Widespread financial malpractice has led to enormous pressure and layoffs at all levels, and the highest staff turnover I've ever seen - with most citing the negative impact on their mental health as the reason for leaving. Many seeking therapy and turning to medication to manage issues directly related to Ketchum. No pay rises or promotions in more than a year, with no communication to colleagues about this. Promises are made and broken regularly. The approach to PR is dated and the agency is failing its clients. Ketchum's model relies on a few big hitters, so losing even one will rock the boat. Culture-related award wins are based on industry relationships, not on reality. There is so much more, but I genuinely worry that the vindictive nature of the leaders within this business would result in them persecuting me for sharing.

Pros

Wonderful growth opportunities, supportive managers, work autonomy

Cons

Takes a long time to get a promotion or a raise; required to work in an office three days a week (although the times are flexible)

Pros

Smart people, nice colleagues to learn and grow with. People are invested in each other despite contraints from the agency.

Cons

-Benefits keep getting worse with every year (mergers, acquisitions, holding firm in a bad economy affect all this) -Not much of a defined company culture or competitive advantage here. I fail to see what makes this place better or more special than any other agency.
