If your sickness or absence as a result of sickness exceeds 3% and does not improve over a 12 month rolling period, you will be disciplined, irrespective of the reasons for your absence. With a written warning on file for 12 months, you will no longer receive sick pay for the 1st 3 days of any absence. It will always be the case even if you are unwell due to disability or long or short term disease. Absence due to serious ongoing health issues is recorded with all other absence and will result in disciplinary action and a financial punishment for you and your family.
