    I worked at Morrisons part-time

    Pros

Neither mentally nor physically challenging, quite enjoyable talking to customers - most of whom are very polite and friendly - and the beeping is sometimes satisfying.

    Cons

Often very busy and a bit hectic, can sometimes be pretty cold in the shop and the beeping is sometimes torturous.

    Advice to Management

Not a great deal of innovation necessary for the role of Checkout Operator, I do think it's good that the company prioritises interacting with and assisting customers as opposed to the Aldi type model of speed scanning.

I have been working at Morrisons part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great pay in comparison to what else is available for students. Choice of contracted shifts and there is always overtime if you need more money. Me and a group of friends all applied and we all have a part time job at the company and work together frequently. Late night hours such as after school require little work to actually do.

    Cons

Can be physically demanding if youre working in the warehouse and on shop floor. Checkouts become tedious and boring once youre used to it.

    Advice to Management

The store revolves around a hypothetical checkout score, of which people who are putting stock out are made to go on checkouts for a shift to attain this score. The system sometimes over estimates and there is nobody to serve, meaning you are made to sit on a checkout and do nothing. Furthermore, it means nobody is putting stock out meaning shelves are scarcely filled. All in all not enough money invested into workers per store.
