Pros

Nike has a great history and standing in the public eye. Great benefits.

Cons

But inside the factory, the culture is toxic. The Directors and higher ups have great intentions for implementing great programs and improving the workers way of life. But the follow-through that is supposed to be implemented by the factory management is non-existent. They will quietly, continue to do things their way. Too many times, have managers/supervisors done less than the bare minimum for their direct reports. One example, CFE 1:1's have a standard of one every quarter, should take anywhere from 15-60 mins. One supervisor will make sure to get them done in a timely manner and actually has a conversation with their direct reports. And another will boast that they can get 15 CFE's done in 13 minutes... Literally less than 1 minute per person. It's extremely inconsistent and inconsiderate. To the point that the workers feel stifled and cut off at the knees at this company. There is no room for growth. And the supervisors do not make it a priority to develop their personnel. To top it off, if someone were to report or say something, they are retaliated against by having the limited opportunities removed from their path for growth. Then proceed to be faced with microaggressions until they inevitably decided to part ways with the company.

Pros

Working at Nike was a great experience overall. The company culture is energetic, inclusive, and team-oriented. Management encourages employees to embody the Nike brand and provides opportunities for growth within retail and corporate roles. Employee discounts are excellent and make it easy to enjoy the products you sell. The work environment is fast-paced, especially during launches and holiday seasons, which keeps the job engaging. I also appreciated working alongside passionate teammates who genuinely cared about customer service and creating a positive shopping experience.

Cons

Retail schedules can be inconsistent and often include nights, weekends, and holidays. During peak periods, the store can become extremely busy, which can be stressful when balancing customer service expectations with operational tasks. Advancement opportunities can vary depending on store location and management structure.
