Pros

A lot of people have been fired this is a GREAT thing because they were all happy to sit around not building pipe but spending up on corporate credit card getting fully paid travel to Singapore and getting drunk. they were happy to spend uncle Larrys money!!! but then come back and party up and not build pipe, not make a single call and just hoping they make money. Best thing oracle has done is get rid of the low hanging fruit, the lazy people who think they don't have to work because they are oracle. You have six months probation that means. Show us what you got and all they showed not a damn thing so they got the sack!!!! Thank you oracle for king room for people who want to be here and want to sell something. The products are good and we use our own products! Shows how uneducated people who come here and have left are if you make the most of our Time here you will be able to make the connections to who is who and what products we use that we sell and all the training available to you but sit down as be lazy and you will quickly realise you don't belong! Wake up to yourselves little kids this isn't the real world!!! Work life balance working from home is the best thing! The corporate health care is amazeballs. I paid $7 gap for chiro appointment ! We got it good but yeah we gotta work for it if you think you can come here and do nothin but get paid for it Oracle is not the place for you.

Cons

Too many young free loading kids with no sales experience being hired in ODP who are lazy and expect the world but do nothin for it!

Pros

Every group/division can be different in how they treat their employees, but I'd say overall there is very good atmosphere of trust and fairness. There is a strong focus on education, and they reimburse for outside classes taken (Up to 5k/year I think). Benefits are good, and I'd say quite competitive in the market. Good 401K matching (they'll contribute a max of 3% of your 6% or greater). Free drinks in the breakroom. Flexibility to work from home at times. (If you live 50+ miles away from an office you can work full-time from home...policy).

Cons

They don't try to make the workplace anything special (maybe a pool table and arcade game are cliche or gimmicky?). In the 10 years I've worked there, they've given 2 measly %1 cost of living raises (this is the same with most everyone I've spoken to, some don't get any raises). You will not get a substantial raise ever, unless you leave then get rehired on (they will not match offers, better to leave). New employees that you train will make 10 - 20K more than you several years after you hire on (not just me, they do this to all tenured employees). They will give these untrained, less experienced people higher titles (again this is done to everyone not just me). You learn pretty quickly that you're dispensable. The company has billions in cash and they don't re-invest in their employees, just in acquiring new companies and hiring new people that know nothing that you get to train.
