Know who you're buying from -
Richer Sounds is a company who's mentality probably got stuck somewhere in the late 90's, with some seriously questionable attitudes\working culture.
It is probably the ugliest stereotype of office work put into practice, with a severe lack of ethical campas and moral code throughout the company's management team.
The first thing to be aware of, is that the company's contract states that they'll only pay your first salary after two months of work (this is for administrative positions).
The contract outlines that this is due to the way your commission fees are calculated, and at the same paragraph encourages you to take a company loan.
Most conveniently, you will only get to see your main contract after a few weeks you've already spent at work - so you're already trapped.
Most of the colleagues I've worked with at the office were taking these company loans, travel loans, other loans - it's undoubtedly the company's interest to get you to take a loan from them.
Their HR (Colleague Support department) personnel even took an active approach in trying to convince me to take one of their loans after my manager failed to.
Absolutely horrendous.
On top of that - forget about getting your advertised salary. Not gonna happen. The company advertises a range for a basic salary which is all commission based - however it is false and you will struggle to get to the lower bracket of that promised salary in most months.
The offices are situated in an industrial area based in Openshaw Manchester, an absolute ****hole and a depressing environment to work at - very hard to commute to as well unless you are based in East Manchester.
The working environment is very grim, with racist and misogynistic remarks being made daily. A very poor working culture.
The place is monocultural, you will find zero diversity unless you are travelling down to the warehouse.
Don't even bother about reporting racism, the management team is very protectionist and any complaints will be dismissed.
All and all, I've worked in many different places and without any doubt this has been one of the very worst.
You cannot help but feel the company is taking advantage of you and is being very dishonest in it's conduct - which is a very difficult feeling to cope with when coming to work.
Don't do it to yourself.
