Pros

It's a multinational, which means you get to hone your skills in an international setting, it's always good to have experience in a couple of large companies to understand how they work Swanky offices

Cons

The office politics are insane, it's still a very siloed environment due to how different teams are funded. Like so many multinationals, it's not about how good you are at your job, it's about how well you are liked. Advancement for women still lags far behind, especially if you're over 45. Some people have been in their role for far too long, and are coasting, making the rest of the team pick up the slack. Layoffs have been announced and no-one knows how safe their job is.

Pros

The people at SAP are genuinely nice, and the culture is generally supportive. The work-life balance is good to an extent, but when you're busy, you're BUSY. SAP is highly complex so expect to take a year to ramp up.

Cons

Only way to get a high salary is if you're hired externally. They do not reward employees who are loyal to the company. Closed opportunities often have to go through the Compensation Exception Committee, creating uncertainty around earnings. Prepare for constant change, whether that's solutions being removed from your sales bag, account shifts, territory realignments, or changing compensation policies. Quotas can be difficult to attain
