Pros
There really aren't any pros about working there. The management are so fundamentally useless due to the complete lack of training here that they are totally inept and have created a company where 99% of the people don't really know what they are doing.
Cons
SSE is in serious trouble. Due to years of bad management and cost cutting they have now found themselves in a position where they don't really have any staff in the Dublin office as everything is now outsourced to India and due to people not really keeping an eye on things they have a huge technical debt situation. The majority of staff in Dublin just do as they are told but aren't trained properly so you have Senior Product Owners who cant write user stories or event set up a sprint. I personally believe that one day soon the whole SSE -platform will crash due to technical debt and there will be serious trouble due to it. You won't learn anything working here as they offer no training and if you are smart you will just use employment here to give you a wage while you find somewhere decent to work.
