I feel like most of the people I work with are there just to cruise through the day-- tons of red tape, no sense of urgency or prescience anywhere in the organization. Bringing up an idea will almost certainly get you shot down. For example, I suggested a better way of connecting to possible clients, an idea I've seen work successfully at other companies but was missing here. I got a major "poo-poo"ing as a result of my willingness to help out. Thanks, guys.
