Some of the worst managers! In our department if you were not sitting at your desk by exactly 9pm, an email would be sent around head office to say that you were late. Head office is run like a school. For example, during lunch there must be someone seated at each block of desks. You can't say join your team for lunch because you would be told off. I had an extremely poor manager who was so terrified of upper management that she would blatantly lie or push any errors onto her team - anything to protect herself. My manager didn't even want to allow me holiday to attend my brother's wedding. Interns are severely overworked and are always told that they should feel privileged to work at Ted. Ted is notorious for its overworked staff and low pay. I have many friends who received "promotions", with no salary increase or change of job title! Many people at head office were unhappy when I was there and fought to get out. I still have quite a few friends there and it has not changed since I got out. Get in, get a year's experience and get out!
