Cons
Progression is poor. Training is poor (store dependant). Pay gaps between job roles getting smaller. Little to no support from upper management. One rule for and one for another, for example, two people could not follow a policy/procedure. One of them could end up with a final warning or being fired, the other just gets a slap on the wrist. Unfair treatment - it’s if your face fits. Expected store standards vary from store to store so it’s difficult to know what ‘good’ looks like with people getting away with not following company policy and ‘expected’ company standards. Deliveries are awful. Constant issues. Work/life balance is poor. A bit better with the new opening hours but still not great. If stores are short (someone calls in sick for example) there is an expectation you will stay and cover the shift. A pretty thankless job all in all.
