You are working for a tiny consulting firm with 1999 survey tech masquerading as a software company. the CEO personally invests significant time scrutinizing, and mostly criticizing, your work if you can’t replicate his style and personality.

-Compensation is inadequate: low pay, no annual raises, and no year-end bonuses. -The CEO fosters a toxic work culture. His behavior is controlling, narcissistic, and dismissive of differing opinions. He intimidates, gaslights, and micromanages the team, creating an environment where employees feel undervalued and constantly on edge. Behind his back, it's common for team members to commiserate about his toxic leadership. -Job security is nonexistent. High turnover is the norm, whether through resignations or abrupt firings, which has led to chronically low morale. -This is not a startup, despite the company’s self-description. It’s a consulting business with a technology component. -"Unlimited vacation" is misleading. Employees are discouraged from taking time off, and leadership openly rewards those who work during their vacations. The expectation to prioritize the company above personal well-being is pervasive and demoralizing.
