Pros

You have lots of opportunities to influence in projects. You'll be able to understand Fintech domain. And if you interested you can learn about other projects also .. depending on your capacity, most probably you will work on a single stream. You will have lots of freedom on selecting technologies for your project.. something that you won't be getting anywhere else .

Cons

Lots of internal politics will ruin your work. No respect for employee's work life balance, they think they can call you on what ever the time they want ..middle of night or in weekends ..even some employees were asked to come to the office when they are enjoying a vacation. Have to stay in a single position for a long time to be get promoted. Most of the times they will ignore the experience you gained outside of epic. Assigning people to projects is not smooth at all.

Pros

I worked with a great team

Cons

I worked with a great team at Epic Lanka Pvt Ltd, but there were many problems. The company uses outdated technologies and doesn’t invest in tools like IntelliJ or Postman. Most interns have to use student accounts, and some seniors use cracked software. They also give out low-quality laptops, which makes work difficult. The lunch provided is poor quality—I even found an insect in my food once. Appraisals are always late, often 1-2 months after the agreed date. They extend contracts without proper paperwork and don’t pay for the overlap period. There’s no system to track who works on what, so there’s a lot of confusion. There aren’t enough senior developers, so interns make up more than half of many teams, and some projects only have one intern. Internal politics matter more than hard work when it comes to promotions and salary increases. Salaries are very low compared to industry standards, and some days you have to work all night without sleep. The company doesn’t care about employees’ health. One of the worst aspects is that for certain events, the company expects employees to provide food at the team level, even though these events are organized by Epic. They then publicize these events on social media to make it seem like the work environment is good. The working culture is more like a garment factory, where top management's decisions are final we should consider as God's word, with no room for discussion, and rejecting offers can result in being denied service letters. At times, agreements are extended without consulting the employee.
