Unless You Are Applying to Sales, Prepare for Disappointment
Pros
The primary positive point about working at Epos Now is the people, pretty much everyone that works there is a genuinely nice person but unfortunately, that is about as far as the positives go for the company. They also have a relatively relaxed atmosphere, if you agree with their definition of "relaxed".
Cons
When it comes to deciding whether or not to join Epos Now, you really must remember a few important things: - Firstly, the company has probably not thought through whether or not they actually need you, so you may end up finding yourself without a job quite soon after, through no fault of your own. I saw this happen multiple times whilst I was there. - Unless you are joining the Sales team, expect your salary never to rise more than a very minor amount from the base rate when you start, if at all. Also, expect to be quite jealous of all of the incentives provided to the sales team. - Should you be working for Sales or Support, make sure you are happy with a very, for lack of a better term, "lad, lads, lads" mentality. Also, remember that if you are distracted easily, Epos Now play a lot of loud music (whether you like it or not) as well as indoor sport activities right in the middle of your workspace, which is really just ridiculous. - The company is run by a classic, loud salesman who has put himself in a CEO position. I am not saying this is necessarily a bad thing, but if you think about what that might be like, I am sure you get the picture. -Promises will be made that you will get certain things, processes will be improved etc. etc. They never are. During my time at Epos Now, barely a single positive improvement or future claim that I heard from the CEO or any of the various rotating managers came to pass. Finally, one thing to remember is that Epos Now regularly get their staff to counter any negative reviews left for them, for example on Glassdoor, by incentivising their staff to write positive reviews. I personally believe this to be very dodgy indeed.
