Pros

Lots of places to eat nearby. Overall people are relatively nice. They value the work/life balance

Cons

While I was there my coworkers in my department were civil and nice however there is very little interaction beyond that. By the end of it I was only talked to if it was work related. They did not talk to me about any problems that may have existed when I was laid off and did not always provide any feedback, good or bad. Not the best work atmosphere as some departments were overworked and others were disorganized. If the Product development team was having any issues at all, it Domino-ed into all departments as it became there problems too. Salary was not competitive however was reasonable for a junior in any department. A lot of miscommunication between departments and projects. Multiple people coming in and out from jobs there. On average they were losing one person every 3 weeks whether it be through a person being fired/laid off or leaving on their own accord. A lot of people work late and don't get paid overtime for it.

Poor Company Culture - red flags

Pros

I thought about it for half an hr. I can't think of anything

Cons

1. High Turnover Outfit - over 30 ppl have been replaced within a year. Leadership is very fickle; unable to land on the specific qualities that they want in a candidate. 2. Low morale & culture clash - lack of focus on a true employee experience. 3. Too many executives brainstorming, too few employees tasked with executing. You will have multiple bosses hounding you, it doesn't matter what department you are in. 4. No benefits - Don't waste your time going for interviews. 5. Dishonesty in HR - only focus on the company and Management and had the worst Covid 19 protocal. You don't feel safe at all. 6. Crazy office politics

Thank you for taking the time to write a review, however I do feel the to need clarify some of your points. Covid is a scary situation for everyone, and in addition to ramping up our regular cleaning, we are all practicing social distancing, wearing face masks and have had several deep cleans of the building. Unfortunately, like many other businesses, working from home is an option for some, but not in all cases. Turnover in a company of this size is quite normal, and in some cases very necessary for the good of the company; to which you would not be privy the details as to why the turnover. As for the other points in your review, while employed, I hope you had taken the time to speak to your Manager or HR on your feelings so they could be addressed. Thank you.

Pros

People CAN be friendly; Work hours are what you make of it; Pay is decent for an entry level position; Non-existent HR - this is good, because you can say whatever you want and not get penalized for it; they have 6 microwaves in the lunch room.

Cons

People CAN be friendly; Not paid for OT; rodent infestation; Non-existent HR - this is also bad, because people can say whatever they want and not get penalized for it; only one toilet and one urinal in the men's washroom; a lot of gossiping and animosity between departments; never seen anyone get promoted, but i did see a lot of turnovers during my time there, which probably says something about the company itself.
