Pros

Sometimes have flexible hours and also the option to work from home (a plus if you don’t live right smack in the middle of London or have to work late!), an opportunity to visit either the UK or Australia office if you are selected for the employee exchange programme, some social events (but paid out from your own pocket most of the time even for a packet of crisps or some lager!), mostly friendly and good colleagues, non-restrictive Internet (yay!), LGBT+ friendly.

Cons

Work often require a lot of out of office hours and working with colleagues on the other end of the world is a bit of a challenge. Senior management often not focused enough. They are fickle as the weather when it comes to decisions that affect the company. VERY STRONG FAVOURITISM on the radiologists and not the department that supports them e.g. sales, OC, IT, runners and administrative staff. Evident when senior management especially the two CEO in UK and Australia always enforcing the idea that the radiologists are kings. Can a king function without his subjects? Attempting to be get out of the startup mentality but in essence, can’t function as a growing startup nor is ready to be one of the bigger boys.

Pros

Big and international company, medical environment, night work, plenty of overtime available

Cons

Scant to non-sensical training, push to overcommit beyond what's attainable (as in: working 5 hours overtime ON TOP of your 10 hr shift), easy to let go of people who don't perform as requested despite scant training, no breaks for 5 hours, lot of pressure on the job.

Pros

I received a wage and could pay my mortgage. Is that over five words yet?

Cons

Management was toxic, bullying, ineffective and resulted in consistently disastrous working conditions. Don't believe the other suspiciously short and positive reviews that you read on here. Long 10 hour shifts which were incredibly busy due to the constantly understaffed nature of shifts, with those who do turn up being spoken to like dog dirt that had been stepped on by certain Radiologists. Lots of evening and weekend work. Not a consideration or thought given to staff wellness or happiness, unless your job title started with 'Radi' and ended with 'ologist'. Just when you feel that things have hit an ultimate low and it couldn't get any worse, Everlight will constantly find a way to surprise and traumatise you. Payroll and P&C were laughable. Without Operations staff, the service would cease - a handful of people were aware of this and that was appreciated, unfortunately none of these people worked in management or held any weight to make any decisions that impacted Operations. Staff were frequently under such pressure that it was not uncommon to see them having to step away due to tears, panic attacks or palpitations. Unfortunately, this awful job doesn't have the luxury of not mattering like other awful jobs with horrendous working conditions where you can check out and pass the time to prioritise your mental health....You're working with urgent patients scans for actual people relying on this service and not being able to do something in time or making a mistake under incredible pressure has terrifying consequences. Management are well aware of this and do sod all to look after staff or find solutions.
