Pros

-Many blue-chip clients available -Thorough training -Reliable employment -Pleasant training environment -No experience required -Company is growing extremely quickly -Travel to training academy is paid for you

Cons

-Geographical flexibility within UK required for your first 2 years -Training is unpaid -After training is complete, it may take a while for you to be placed (this period is also unpaid) -You are required to try to get every placement presented to you, you cannot pick and choose which ones you want -You may be placed doing something different from what you trained in (I trained as a Java Dev, and am about to start a placement in Application Support.)

Thanks for posting your feedback. It says you're a current employee so if you had time to discuss your "transparency" and "valued" advice I'd appreciate the chance to discuss. Jonathan Young CIO

Pros

Since FDM Group has tight relationship with the clients (mostly are well known Investment banks), so they knows the clients’ expectations well. So the trainings and advices that they provide are always on point and on target. I personally been through the training, and got placed into one of the top Investment Banks and worked as one of the key person on annual project for the team with the skills that I learned from the training from FDM Group.

Cons

Since the traning is cost free, so I had to support myself durning the traning.

Pros

Great Location at the financial district. Great people and friendly yet professional working environment Great Opportunities, side projects and preparation for SCJP after training Great Mobility. I was started as an Application Supports. But after I requested and proved myself during the core trainings (UNIX and SQL) , I was able to move up to be a Java Developer. And because of that I have been placed at Barclays recently.

Cons

Because lack of Trainers, one trainer will need to teach multiple classes, therefore some times during the training, we found ourself that we are learning alone. It is a good way to train our self-learning skill but if there were more advises from the trainers, it will defiantly enhance our training experience and quality. Especially for the intensive training from FDM.
