Pros

Farmers used to be a great place to work. During the pandemic they assured employees we would remain virtual permanently. There is a new CEO and he announced over email that if an employee is within 50 miles of an office, they are required to go in 3 days a week. That can be a 3 hour commute for someone. If this is the new CEO first major decision, I am super fearful of what else is coming down the pike. I have been with Farmers for over 20 years and will now look for another job. I don't have to go into the office however I won't work for a company that doesn't give a sh** about it's employees and one that I can't trust.

Cons

CEO is not trustworthy! He pulled a bait and switch and people are mad! I think this was done intentionally so that they don't have to lay people off and instead and just forcing them to quit.

Pros

You can occasionally find other decent human beings to befriend here but beware because management will belittle you for making friends at work.

Cons

EXTREME micromanagement. Must take more than 8 calls per hour to be considered satisfactory. Extensive time on phone calls with no down time to unwind. 7.5 hours constantly on phone calls. Little to no time on other work that is not answering phone calls. Little to no recognition unless you're doing "outstanding" work. Little to no praise about doing a good job when meeting standards. They make you feel bad about wanting to take time off because they are so understaffed and cannot hire more employees. They hired new employees at a higher pay rate than some individuals who were already working there versus giving current employees career growth opportunities to be promoted within. Multiple multiple stories of management stating an employee has resigned versus when they actually verbally fired them for not being "good enough."
