Pros
I have been at FCHC for 6 years and have no desire to leave. The work that we do for our patients and community is rewarding, even on the most challenging days. The Senior Team is passionate about the staff and is mindful about work/life balance, reducing burnout, recognition, and staying on par or above the benefits of other health centers. We offer a variety of services for our patients and I appreciate that we accept all patients, regardless of insurance. The collaboration between specialties and support from other providers is helpful to learn and provide the best possible care. As a provider, we get excellent CME time/allowance in addition to educational meetings.
Cons
Primary Care is not easy, no matter where you work. We experience the usual frustrations with paperwork, Prior Authorizations, busy schedules, etc. There have been leaders in the past who have not been supportive, and in fact had been disrespectful. These leaders are no longer here and FCHC is much stronger and a more positive environment.
