Pros

Building Relationships with Customers and working from home

Cons

I was within the top 5 Adviser's in both 2018 and 2019. Working around 50 hours p/wk, averaging 10 appointments and achieved over double my annual target. Everything seems great when you start and bonus gradually deteriorates. Clawbacks become incredibly high and advisers are forced to stay due to the debt they accumulate. Bonus structure forced on advisers in January causes financial hardship Company car tracking breaches data protection HR are rude and arrogant CEO Euan Allison is intimidating and laughs at your expense No support from anybody Fuel expenses at 10p p/mile don't cover the actual cost of fuel. Clawbanks on Bonus structure are not in your control. The 5* comments below have been written by a member of staff that were forced to write them by management to increase they average star rating on glass door. Over 15% of advisers in the UK have resigned since January 2020 due to the way the company treat their employees.

Pros

A few decent colleagues. Nothing else.

Cons

Senior finance staff are self serving bullies who intimidate staff on a daily basis. The cfo has no people management skills, an irate individual who turns on staff, takes them in a room to humiliate and glare at them. Many finance employees have been made to resign in tears and desperation, often without another job to go to and putting their young families under financial strain. The senior managers and heads have a of bag full of malicious accusations that they throw at staff who are caught unaware and unable to defend themselves. Staff have made lots of complaints and there is a very high staff turnover. HR does not follow legal employee guidelines and regulations to protect staff who are being bullied and does not deal with complaints mounting up on the same peoples' behaviours. The culture from top down is rife with gossips, undermining and backstabbing.

Pros

Work from home Manage your own diary Bonus can be good initially

Cons

100% clawback on every part of your bonus 100% clawback of bonus TO YOU even if a previous adviser on your postcode area was paid it initially Can rack up £1000's of indebtedness to the company. Which they try to make you repay. Not sure if they can do this LEGALLY, but ethically it is awful to try and make an employee pay back bonus that another employee was paid it They should be reported to the FCA Sell at all cost attitude The advisers AND managers are not qualified Financial Advisers. They are NOT LEVEL 4 QUALIFIED which is the industry standard. AVOID at all cost No mobile phone Car is tracked 24/7 Mileage allowance paid does not cover actual cost of fuel 20 days holiday only
