Pros
Two weeks PTO and the staff at the locations are all amazing.
Cons
The leadership at the top have NO funeral home experience, they don’t care for the families, or the staff. They have no business running a funeral home corporation. I have worked in the industry for 18 years, I have worked at other corporations and this is by far the worst. They hire new people at the corporate office every couple months and then have layoff those who are working serving families at the funeral home. If new staff gets hired after waiting six weeks, unusual within four to six months they are laid off. With the limited number of staff, employees can’t serve families. Staff make human mistakes because they are spread so thin. Staff who work weekends can’t take time off during the week and get reprimanded for having a minute of overtime. Families have to wait days before seeing a funeral director and sometimes weeks before they can have a service. Employees just get so burnt out. The leadership does not care for the families or the staff that work for them. If you ask for help from leadership, they tell you there is no money in the budget to hire staff and they won’t come help if you ask for it. I worked for FPG for almost five years, I was always promised and hopeful things would get better, they only get worse. They take well admired and successful funeral homes and run them in the ground. Do not work for this company! Work anywhere else and avoid selling to them if you don’t want your successful, well respected business become a train wreck!
