Great Workers, Mediocre Management

+Nice office in a good area +Great healthcare benefits +They have snacks and free coffee +Work life balance +Pay is decent

Cons

-Slow to adopt efficient processes -Management doesn't listen to you -If you're not an engineer, they don't really care about you -Only match 0.5% on the 401k -In the last year the layers of corporate bureaucracy have become stifling -Nepotism and playing favorites -People in Virginia Beach get first priority - San Diego is an after thought -Some people really tried to foster Quality Control and Management but C level doesn't understand Quality

Pros

While the employees of this company were great to work with leadership was not great at all. The MBSE done at this company is not real systems engineering. You will get much more fulfillment and experience much more complete projects working at just about any other company.

Cons

Thanks to G2 I have learned to avoid any company that claims you are family.

Pros

Very welcoming, positive environment. Promotes collaboration, good pay, challenging work. Paid healthcare. Great for junior staff without personal responsibilities and free time to socialize. Great “starter” job and company.

Cons

Limited internal processes/policies. No maternity/disability leave. Poor PTO offering. They cherish you until you no longer make money for them. Lots of nepotism. No leadership training, no training at all for anyone. Missing social events is frowned upon.

Hey, thanks for your review. We are glad you were welcomed positively, and were challenged professionally while at G2 Ops. As a growing small business, we are continuing to refine our processes and procedures. Last year, we launched an internal project to model our processes to identify any gaps as we continue to strive to serve our customers with excellence. Our code name for this project is MIMIC. Our goal is for our employees to flourish. We place a strong emphasis on leadership and being leaders in our field by our investments in training, collaboration and conference attendance. Our employees are often tapped to speak at events, write articles and other indicators of leadership. 91 trainings have been attended in 2021 to date, and 42 certifications have been obtained in the past 12 months by 61 different employees. Last year we had 80-95 total employees and hit 100 employees in June. So that is over 50%! We also offer lunch and learns to learn from each other on topics such as blockchain and personal social media tips. G2 Ops offers a completive benefits package including 100% company-paid insurance for medical, dental, and vision for eligible employees AND family members, 100% company-paid insurance for life, short-term (STD) and long-term disability (LTD) for eligible employees, 401(K) Plan with discretionary employer matching, 10 paid holidays (including one floating holiday), 120 hours of PTO your first year, educational assistance (up to $5,000/year – anything over this amount is taxed😊).
