      Pros

      There's job security here. Most employees at GNS are geologists who have only ever worked here.

      Cons

      The application development team is an expensive embarrassment to the whole organisation. It is badly managed, nobody in the team has any decent level of technical skill, and has a particular poisonous individual in it who only exists to make your life miserable. Salaries are abysmally low. Expect a yearly pay increase that's just below inflation.

      Great benefits, career development, excellent work/life balance

      Cons

      "We care for our employees" is what you hear, but unfortunately not really what you see. There is something wrong with their hiring practices, they keep getting the wrong person for the job in an alarming percentage of the corporate jobs. There are a lot of overworked employees, because their collegues do not really function.
