    Pros

Getting to 5pm without having a stroke
    Salary

    Cons

Management are bullies. Staff are unable to go to HR for fear of repercussions. Management take all the rewards and hospitality whilst trampling over the staff. Reality in the office is very different from the ethical company they pretend to be.

    Advice to Management

    Leave and become prison wardens

    Pros

    None!

A terrible place to work. My worst by a country mile

    Cons

Beside the constant email and forced training on how to spot colleagues defrauding the company, too many to mention.

    Quit after 1 month

I worked at Gallagher (More than a year)

    Pros

The benefits provided with the salary were reasonable and better than other insurance brokers in my experience.

    Cons

The salary at analyst level is low and I was made aware by several colleagues that the company disliked giving annual pay rises. Extremely low morale as a result especially for those who had worked several years without a raise. In contrast, I was advised that senior management received healthy pay rises/bonuses.The atmosphere was toxic and unprofessional. I suffered the worst boss so far of my over 15 year old career. I was told that HR were not impartial and so could not be trusted. No expense was spared for management to visit Las Vegas for a week on an annual basis yet there were petty embargoes on low level expenses such as stationery and claiming lunches whilst travelling. I didn't work in a sales role but the pressure to sell was burdensome and without any regard to treating clients fairly. Due to the high number of acquistions and the charged political nature within the company, there was little trust between colleagues. I suffered bullying and I saw bullying happen in other departments which was disappointing.

    Advice to Management

Reduce the pay gap between analyst and Business Partner/senior management level. Invest in high quality staff and training to ensure technically able staff. Reduce staff turnover by giving pay rises. Focus on creating a professional and cohesive culture.Audit your compliance function.

I worked at Gallagher full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Initial interview and induction seemed refreshing and very promising. Rate of pay ok. Nice location in Chichester and near the shops

    Cons

Overworked. No praise at all by management. Given no authority despite vast experience to handle claims, petty criticism by managers who don’t listen. Low morale & high staff turnover. Back stabbing. Uncomfortable chairs. No DSE. Poor computer systems. Long term job security doesn’t look good. Say no more!

    Advice to Management

Actually bother to listen. You don’t know everything
