I worked at Gallagher full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Your coworkers are in the same boat and you can leave at 5pm

    Cons

Poor pay for workload. Audit system is designed so you fail. No career progression. No bonus scheme. Job title doesn't match what you'll actually be doing, and you'll be working beyond your pay-grade often.

    Advice to Management

There's a reason the office feels like a revolving door.

I have been working at Gallagher full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

The company makes a real attempt to create an inclusive atmosphere within its offices. There is a well thought out and good benefits system in place. The company wants to expand and will give employees the opportunity to assist with this.

    Cons

Severe lack of communication from upper levels of management. Lack of wanting to embrace new ideas and technical advantage especially regarding marketing campaigns, website use and new business ideas. Difficult to contact the relevant person within the company as lack of joined up email and phone links. Very poor at integrating newly bought companies.

    Advice to Management

Communicate! When there are weekly management meetings, don't just state 'nothing to report back' actually provide some information about how the company is doing or if there are concerns that should be fed back to the various teams.

I have been working at Gallagher full-time

    Pros

Great to work for if your job role is to sell insurance

    Cons

All other job roles seem to be considered irrelevant at this company. Management has zero interest in pursuing new ideas or adopting new technologies. They have even less interest in the wellbeing of their staff. Trying to get a sit down meeting or a straight answer about career progression or wellbeing is like trying to get blood out of a stone. Pay is pitiful also. Don't expect to get a pay rise, ever.

    Advice to Management

Stop with the "command and control" model, try actually respecting and listening to your staff's ideas, maybe then, the staff turnover wouldn't be so high.

I have been working at Gallagher full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Some staff benefits are ok but nothing you wouldn't expect elsewhere, colleagues are friendly and helpful

    Cons

Poor management not interested in doing their jobs and will ask you to do it for them, too much interfering and sign offs from head office meaning nothing ever gets done. In house training is appalling.
