Cons

My time at Gateways Support Services was marred by a toxic corporate culture that fostered an environment of bullying, micromanagement, and backstabbing. It quickly became clear that management favours those who keep their heads down and comply without question. Policies and procedures are not applied equally, and staff members who try to stand up for themselves or challenge unfair practices are met with hostility and discrimination. The workload was unmanageable, as I was expected to juggle responsibilities for two job titles, which was poorly communicated during the recruitment process. Despite the increased scope of the role, I was not remunerated fairly or accurately, further contributing to the stress and dissatisfaction. I experienced constant anxiety and dread, knowing that any day could bring more bullying or the fallout from malicious gossip. The environment was so toxic that it left me with no energy or enthusiasm for anything outside of work. The stress and fear of being backstabbed or undermined became overwhelming, affecting my mental health significantly. One of the most alarming issues I encountered was the falsification of incident reports. Management manipulated these reports to protect themselves, further highlighting the unethical practices within the organisation. Overall, my experience at Gateways Support Services was deeply disappointing and damaging. I would not recommend working here unless you’re willing to endure an unsupportive environment where your well-being and integrity are constantly compromised.

Toxic corporate culture. Heads up to anyone that is looking for work in ANY area of Gateways. -Lack of clear, open, and honest communication among employees and management. -High Turnover! Especially in Support Coordination -Low Morale. Employees consistently feeling unmotivated, undervalued, or disengaged. -Micromanagement -Favouritism -Incidents of bullying going unchecked. -Insufficient support for employee growth, development, and well being. -Pervasive negativity, gossip, and criticism among team members. -Unrealistic workloads and expectations leading to burnout.
