I worked at Genesis HealthCare full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I worked with some pretty awesome team of people who tried to make a place better. The occasional employee appreciation party. Work from home opportunities.

    Cons

Do you have a year to go over them all? Terrible benefits that get expensive really quick. And I mean, terrible high deductible/ no copay plans to start. Limited time off. Software that was purchased off a clearance rack and put into use without testing. Raises? What raises?!? Cost of living adjustment? Are you mad?!? Bonuses???? You must be this high to ride the ride. Of course, there's the ever increasing tidal wave of bad decisions from upper management to bring on tanking companies that, SPOILER ALERT, still continue to tank and bring the company down. Been "restructuring" for years now.... it's means layoffs, layoffs, layoffs.

    Advice to Management

Stop blaming baby boomers, China, health regulations for your own bad choices. You're messing with people's livelihoods. You can start by looking in the mirror and going back to school. Glad I left when I did. I may not have single sourced, organic Fijian lemongrass, but dang, I have grass now.
