Pros

There is immeasurable personal reward from helping women change their lives. The service provided is so much more than just losing weight and getting into better shape. You get to interact with many great people who work in this industry as trainers and managers. Also, most of the other franchisee owners are kind, caring people who work hard and love what they do. The members are great too!

Cons

Hard to make money (and thus a living) from owning a single unit, especially given the false projections provided by corporate. Corporate office plays favorites with some franchisees and attacks others. They say one thing and do the opposite. Too many negatives to list. They can't be trusted.

Pros

Program really does help women transform their lives. The combination of training & nutrition produces amazing results for those willing to make healthy life choices. Relationship with clients is very rewarding.

Cons

The hours become overwhelming and it is difficult to keep the studio staff from burning out. GISFW corporate is constantly changing course in an attempt to salvage the business from collapsing. Many failed marketing initiatives are causing studios to lose money each month. Less time spent by corp. blaming the owners and more working together is the only way this franchise survives.

Pros

Awesome clients and the ability to get to know them/transform lives Great opportunity to work in the health and fitness industry

Cons

Manager must have cell phone on them and must answer 24/7 but not allowed to use phone for personal use so need two phones. Outdated workout program and nutrition plan Sales training is aggressive and you're taught to make women cry in order to get them to buy in Corporate office is 100% male and any female who's ever been hired is gone within a year. Unrealistic sales goals, long hours and constant monitoring by corporate to make sure the sales scripts are being followed with cameras in studios and phone calls recorded. No support from corporate when there is a bad owner. I'd give this a negative rating on a work life balance.
