Pros

During my time at HG Comms, I have been given every opportunity to better my career with full support of senior management and others in my peer group. There is plenty of opportunity for development and progression for people who wish to better themselves and their careers. There is a good working culture with a good deal of flexibility. Friendly, tight knit team always willing to support each other where needed.

Cons

In the past, HG Comms hasn’t always got things right but honestly, what company does. Things do tend to go wrong from time to time but the company makes every effort to correct mistakes and rarely lets the same mistakes happen twice. HG Comms isn’t always the perfect place to work however, improvement ideas and individual thoughts are taken into consideration and respected in order to better the business. I believe that a good amount of people were hired into roles that they were unable to fulfil competently.

I feel compelled to share my perspective as a current employee at this vibrant company. I stumbled upon Glassdoor and was disheartened to see recent reviews casting shadows on the management and overall work environment here. My experience has been quite the opposite, and I believe it's important to offer a balanced viewpoint. Firstly, I must emphasize the positive and effective management style that I have witnessed during my tenure here. The leadership team demonstrates a genuine commitment to fostering a collaborative and supportive work culture. Decisions are made with careful consideration, and an open-door policy allows for transparent communication at all levels. I have found that feedback is not only welcomed but actively encouraged. Contrary to the recent reviews, I have not witnessed any evidence of poor management practices. In fact, the management team is proactive in addressing challenges head-on, seeking solutions that prioritize the well-being and professional growth of the employees. The recent negative reviews seem to allude to a different reality, and it's important to question the accuracy and motivation behind such claims. Moreover, the morale among the employees is high, creating a positive and collaborative atmosphere. The camaraderie among colleagues has contributed to a productive and enjoyable workplace. I genuinely feel that our team is collectively working towards a shared vision. I encourage potential candidates and anyone reading these reviews to take them with a grain of scepticism. It's essential to consider all the the diverse experiences within any organization, but my personal experience contradicts the negative sentiments expressed in these reviews. HG Comms is on an upward trajectory, thanks to strong leadership and a dedicated team. I am proud to be a part of this organization and optimistic about its future.

The location of the head office is quite out the way however a Hybrid Working Policy helps.

If you work hard you’ll only get more work and responsibilities for no recognition or remuneration Management is not doing anything, good luck with trying to get an answer or help from them The values are non existing, good people are turned against each other like it’s a rat race You’ll always get thrown under a bus even in front of clients You’ll become miserable working there and nobody cares about your wellbeing
