Pros

Professional behavior of employees; to a point it all sounds too robotic.

Cons

Product based company that feels more like a service based setup. Hammoq Infosystems is the India entity of Hammoq Inc [USA]. Work is outsourced to cheaper labor in India, Egypt etc. from Hammoq Inc. Senior Leadership both in India and the States [CxOs] are pathetic [ They sound professional but I found out the hard way it is just to lure people ] . They can lie about you behind your back and can over-promise and under-deliver . I was hired as a core member of the team (when they were 9-10 people) and was promised equity etc. after 6 months, during early and critical stages of the company as a startup. They made me work as Team Lead with no clear boundaries on the technical role I was hired for. I developed multiple vision/deep-tech based api's and pretty much built their "MV" team and its processes, including hiring more people and a gamut of other non-technical and managerial responsibilities, with the hopes that they will live up to their promises. I was pretty much heading the whole AI efforts of the entire company. However, having exploited me fully, they then offered like one hundredth the amount of shares initially promised. I did not take it and left. Also, in one of the calls I raised a concern that most of the people in the tech team are male (at the moment like literally 100%). "We can't compromise on quality" came the quick response from the Senior Project Manager.

Pros

The tech team had all the resources who were very knowledgeable.

Cons

The company laid off many employees from their workforce in the end of june 2022 and then refused to provide the termination letter as the contract said that if the resource is terminated then the laptop will not have to be returned. My friends who were laid off were called from different numbers urging him to give his laptop back and when he refused, they said that he is not terminated and will be moved to a different project. He was then assigned a new team totally different to his skill set which he obviously refused to join and hence he himself put down his resignation to get out of that chaos. The same has happened with other people as well and the behavior of the company towards these laid off employees was more or less the same and hence i decided i will not stay here as i could be the next in line. All the above decisions were taken by CEO off the company himself and tells his farsightedness of running a startup.

Pros

Remote, flexible schedule, fast paced environment.

Cons

Salary growth does not match company growth, very sloppy management, lacking foresight to the point that taking a loss for the sake of longer growth, unable to push deadlines for necessary important changes, mundane changes often take priority, inability to fire correct employees and only fire employees who were considered excess or costly.
