Pros

Flexibility to work from home. Flexibility in the work schedule.

Cons

Much staff burn out. Impossible deadlines that can't be met. Poor communication from the leadership, executive and founders. Not enough people to do all the work. Too much office politics and clicky groups.

Hi there, Thank you so much for taking the time to share your thoughts with us and we really appreciate it. It's never easy to hear that someone hasn't had the best experience with us, so we want to acknowledge your feedback and assure you that we take it seriously. We're sorry to hear that you felt burnt out and that deadlines were unrealistic. We totally get it - there's nothing worse than feeling like you're drowning in work! But we're happy to say that since your review a couple of years ago, we've made significant changes. We've brought on a lot more staff and have implemented a more streamlined communication process involving leadership to ensure everyone's on the same page. We're also very committed to fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment (without office politics or cliques) - we want everyone to feel included and valued. We're always looking for ways to improve, so if you ever want to chat more about your experience, feel free to reach out to me anytime: pam@harrison.ai (Pam Stevenson - Head of Talent). Thanks again for your feedback and we hope to one day have the opportunity to show you the improvements we've made.

Pros

Opportunity to create a positive impact through healthcare technology on millions of lives. Above average benefits.

Cons

Clicks and politics. Senior male executive leaders make and support others to make inappropriate jokes, especially for women.

Pros

Working in AI can be interesting and also in healthcare. It feels useful.

Cons

Management lacks direction and effective communication, leading to confusion and frustration. Employees face backlash or retaliation for voicing concerns or offering feedback that senior management don't want to receive, creating a hostile work environment. Unreasonable deadlines are imposed, leading to chronic overwork and exhaustion and burnout. Aside from a generic Employee Assistance Program (EAP), there’s little genuine concern for employee well-being. All employees are left to fend for themselves without proper ongoing development opportunities, apart from the occasional training seminar or LinkedIn Learning membership. Leadership is self-serving, driven by internal politics rather than the company’s long-term success. Many employees don’t stay for long due to the toxic environment and unrealistic expectations. It’s not worth the risk. Most employees leave quickly or are terminated through no fault of their own. You're better off joining a more established startup or company with a healthier, more supportive culture and growth opportunities. Very male oriented culture at the top, with even the female executives simply agreeing to the boys club mentality.

We value feedback deeply, as it helps us improve, and we strive to create an open, supportive environment where all voices can be heard. While we wish you had felt comfortable discussing these concerns with your manager or executive team member at the time, we understand that it can be difficult. If you're open to it, we would welcome the opportunity to speak with you further to better understand your concerns and ensure we can continue to improve. Please feel free to reach out directly to our new Chief People Officer, Alex Hattingh, at alex.hattingh@harrison.ai. Your feedback will be handled with the utmost confidentiality.
