The following represents my opinions. As with any review, these are not statements of fact but are personal beliefs based on this reviewer's experience. There are two distinct business units in Healthtronics each with their own leadership teams. This review refers to Healthtronics Information Technology Solution, also known as HITS. HITS is run independently from the rest of Healthtronics. HITS has gone from a great place to work to a highly political culture that makes Tina Turner's "Thunderdome" look like kindergarten. It is a cut throat, back stabbing environment where personal alliances and inappropriate relationships matter much more than what you have to offer or accomplish.. The two main sites are in NJ and MO and they despise one another. Each site is continuously trying to undermine the credibility of the other. The leadership team members are all focused on empire building and WIFM rather than on customers or employees. Several come from big pharma and are clueless about the business. Integrity or trying to do the right thing is a career liability at HITS. The few caring leaders from both sites have all left or been pushed out in the past year. The remaining leaders are mostly sociopaths who care only about their bonus or title. Decisions can not be made without endless meetings and then the opinions of only 2-3 people matter. Leaders and staff who cause the most damage to the company wear Teflon suits. They are quick to throw others under the bus and the GM simply goes along. Anything you say to HR can and will be used against you. The technology is stale. Nothing is delivered on time. Customers are not happy. The new owners care only about short-term profits so innovation has been quashed and benefits reduced. There have been layoffs in the past year. Good, accomplished, highly qualified people were pushed out in favor of the yes men and inexperienced cronies who share the same town, Alma mater, church, running club, bed, whatever. Rumors of further layoffs or outsourcing leave everyone in a constant state of fear. Stay away from HITS. You have been warned.
