Pros

I enjoying working with the Hokodo team!

Cons

Hokodo, on face value, appears to be an excellent workplace: stable, some might say unbreakable (as we are constantly reminded). However, we have recently experienced another round of redundancies, which has led to the departure of some highly senior people. These individuals have significantly contributed to team building and the company's growth. Their departures were abrupt, giving the impression that everything was swiftly swept under the carpet. This occurred following our annual lavish offsite in Lithuania, which is baffling. If there's a need for cost-cutting, why did we proceed with such an expensive event? Cancelling it could have potentially saved two people from being let go. Meanwhile, we see other team members announcing on LinkedIn about their expanded roles and taking on new responsibilities, while those who have been let go are still processing the news. This situation, coupled with another rebranding or change of direction for the sales team, creates a rather unsettling atmosphere. It's a time of uncertainty and mixed signals, making it challenging for everyone involved.

Pros

The people that work here are friendly and collaborative

Cons

- Treat employees like Disposables: fires people based on its short-term strategy. There were numerous layoffs in the sales department due to the strategy at the time. One or two quarters later, they hired many salespeople because of a shift in strategy. - If you're best buddies with the founders, your job security is fine, even if you're not fit for the job. It appears personal connections matter more than job qualifications. -Lacks transparency about its situation: flew the entire company to another country for a nice offsite, followed by unexpected layoffs and claimed it's because of financial difficulties. At the same time, they hired executives with generous paychecks, leaving employees feeling misled. - Discriminative Environment: held an event that encouraged discrimination based on gender and body type in one offsite, making people uncomfortable. Despite reporting it to HR, no action was taken. Company awards also seem biased, favoring specific personality traits and teams, making it challenging for quieter individuals or teams with fewer inter-team collaborations to get recognition.

Pros

The interview process was super quick and the talent partner ensured I was kept up to date with all feedback. The team were thorough and there were a lot of interview stages (I think I had 5/6 including a task) but the team were all very friendly and productive in these calls so it felt like time well spent.

Cons

I'd maybe just say that the interview descriptions could be a little more detailed as I was prepared for a values based meeting for one of my final stages but the interviewer gave me more of a hiring manager interview. Otherwise nothing!
