Unclear & ambiguous workflow
- There are no clear job descriptions for each role, so it is more than likely for people with the same role to have completely different jobs.
- Since there are no clear job description for each role, it is very common for each department to pass over a task to other department/people.
- The company is in its rapid grow phase, so there are still a lot of new departments/teams. Which led to the leaders & team members to not have a clear SLA. It is also common for Hypefast to have everchanging systems and workflows.
- It's no surprise how fast the workflow in a startup is. Taking the complicated bureaucracy into consideration, a lot of problems that arises were treated as a ticking time-bomb, instead of an issue that needed to be sorted out carefully. This resulted in a lot of uninformed and not well-thought out decisions tangled in a lot of miscommunications.
No onboarding process
- This leads to having no clear job description which leads to overlapping tasks and workflow (even with people from other functions).
- A knowledge gap between team members is resulted as an absence of a standardized onboarding process.
The nature of a young company
- Considering how new Hypefast is, a lot of the employees and leaders are also of young age. This results in a lot of inexperienced employees.
- There were no KPIs. It is very unclear as to how one person can get promoted.
High turnover
- This often resulted in a short period of handover process
