Pros

There are no pros for working at IBX. The pay is substandard and the benefits are expensive. Employees do not have a voice in the organization.

Cons

Management lies a lot. They promised during my interview that I could work from home 5 days a week, if I wanted to. Then a year later, they revoked the promise. Now, to work in the office, I have to spend $5000 a year in part-time, $5,000 a year in after school care, and $10,000 a year for summer camp. When they broke their promises, they didn't increase my salary. The office is loud, cold, and uncomfortable. The rationale for "return to the office" was greater collaboration. But we are obviously collaborating well because we achieved our revenue goals this year, and 75% of surveyed employees enjoyed the remote work policy. They ignored our responses and our needs and demanded in-person work anyway. I used to love working at IBX, but now I don't believe in the organization.

Pros

- used to be a great hybrid work model - executives SEEMED to care about work life balance

Cons

Companies can and do implement RTO policies, sure, that is their right. But IBX did it in the worst way possible. It's also conveniently done at the same time that Highmark is entering the Philadelphia market, so maybe this is a soft layoff?? If they buckle this much before Highmark even starts taking customers, I can't imagine how many more layoffs there will be in the near future. They also took away the free lunch so you're paying for the commute in and out of the city, parking, lunch, and the Philly wage tax. It's literally an indirect paycut for everyone. Like I said it used to feel like the company cared about their employees, but absolutely not anymore. My advice to anyone reading this for interviews: Do not work here.

Pros

-Good Starting with PTO with an increment after 5 years. -Great people to work with, although many will leave after the sudden RTO announcement. -Good work-life balance, soon to be gone with the new hybrid model.

Cons

-Dishonest and deceiving leadership. After promising that the hybrid by choice was here to stay, IBX leaders abruptly announced a 3 day mandatory RTO with short notice and no flexibility/accomodations. - Great managers who will soon be severely overworked. - Morale currently at all time low
