Pros

Chiki Sarkar is an intelligent and amazing business professional to surround yourself with as a lover of books. The senior editors are lovely professionals too. Flexible work hours. Books!

Cons

1. No HR. - The founder and CEO decided/tried to man the sexual harassment committee because they think that's the best way to keep out of legal trouble. - If you're interviewing for a position, you'll be directly negotiating with the founder/CEO. And they haggle you down to what they think you're worth. 2. Lots of internal politics with excessive dose of nepotism. - It takes you less than a week to know who the pets in the company are. 3. Terrible attrition rate. -Around 20 people have quit/been fired in 2018 alone. You can do the math. 4. Terrible working hours! - You can be inundated with work calls at midnight if the need arises. They have a preposterous sense of work ethic. After a while you feel no money is worth the mental harassment you're put through. Basically, you'll be asked to grow a thick skin and suck up to the management on a measly pay to go a long way.

Pros

No attendance logs, work from home once a day.

Cons

All your actions are micro-managed, the CEO is never around, chiki sarkar -the founder- runs everything on her own but is a bad manager of people. She has to pass everything that gets done in this office, so hardly any autonomy. The teams hardly communicate. It's a dead office. Chiki is intelligent, no doubt, but has no manners when it comes to talking to people. She talks down, shouts, and judges you. In my stint here, I haven't ce across even one person who is happy to come here. Meetings are a farce because all decisions are taken by chiki herself. No wonder that the attrition rate is so high here. There is no growth prospect either. No HR to talk to if you have issues. Salaries are really low. You can be pulled up for anything...And everyone is supposed to be doing everything.
