Pros

Easy going coworkers who are supportive and creative.

Cons

No job security. A constant revolving door of people getting replaced or more often, leaving. Contacted off-hours after work and expected to respond. Upper management can be temperamental and doesn't provide clear leadership, support, or keep their promises they claim when hiring you. They don't have written rules or policy, so you can easily be promised something and have it taken back at the drop of a hat. Many coworkers were pushed to work all day Friday's when it got busy, even though it is supposed to be a half day and is touted as one of the perks of the job.

The Definition of TOXIC

Pros

Fun product categories and national clients A really supportive group of former employees that stay connected despite us all having negative experiences working there.

Cons

Everyone there is massively underpaid, overworked, and miserable. The turnover is very high, and the owners are completely delusional that they are the problem. It was so sad watching coworker after coworker lose their spark after working with them. A personal (and truly bizarre) anecdote to describe what it was like working at June Co: A year into working there in a senior leadership position, the owner started calling me by the wrong name. I would repeatedly correct her, and she would brush it off as a brain fart. In my opinion, this was an unhinged attempt at a power move, given the conversations she and I had before she made this switch in behavior. Or she seriously needs cognitive testing and should consider retiring.

Pros

Free snacks and drinks provided

Cons

Toxic work environment, revolving door of employees, workload is not sustainable, there is no strategy, leadership is lacking and the burnout is severe. Business ethics and practices are questionable at best. There is no HR department, ages and genders are scrutinized during interviews, and Covid protocols at the height of the pandemic were nonexistent. Paid maternity leave is not offered and bonuses and raises don’t exist.
