Pros
1. Free lunch, on the days it actually arrives. 2. Many of the employees are incredibly hardworking, talented, and genuinely care about the patients.
Cons
The few positives are overshadowed by an unhealthy and toxic workplace culture driven by senior leadership, starting with the CEO. There is very little strategic direction, and priorities change constantly, making it difficult for teams to succeed. The company has become a revolving door, with talented employees leaving at an alarming rate. Employees are often made to feel undervalued and disposable. Respect from leadership is nonexistent, and it is not uncommon to witness leaders yelling, screaming, and belittling employees or even one another. This has created an environment of fear rather than collaboration. The company's reputation has also suffered greatly. It has become increasingly difficult to attract and retain top talent because the toxic culture is well known and outweighs any of the "benefits" offered. To make it worse, my current manager, one of the longest-tenured and most respected leaders in the organization, is preparing to leave the company, and no one is fighting to prevent it. This highlights a broader issue: leadership fails to recognize and value the impact strong people leaders have on the teams, morale, culture, and organizational success. It's clear that executive priorities are driven more by the need to protect their own egos.
