Great team and a place where you can make an impact
Pros
I enjoy working at KatKin and it's one of the few companies I’ve worked at where the mission is genuine and it’s easy to see the impact you’re having. The team is big reason it’s a good place to work. Everyone is smart, works hard and, for the most part, teams work well together. If you’re wanting high ownership and a lot of responsibility you can make a real difference. Things move quickly which I see as a positive. Decisions don't sit around for ages and leaders help keep things moving and in the right direction. Many decisions happen quickly and there aren't many approval layers. If you've got a good idea it has a good chance of happening and you get to run it. It’s not perfect but I’ve found leaders are clear about what’s going well and what isn’t. There’s a focus on building a better business and improving things for customers.
Cons
The pace is high and doesn't suit everyone. Expectations are high, priorities can change depending on performance, and there's a lot going on. If you like lots of processes and certainty it might feel uncomfortable. The company is still growing and there are some pain points. Some processes aren't in place and sometimes that means we have to create these instead of following what is already in place. The last few months have been tougher than usual. The business is becoming more disciplined and accountability has been increasing, which has been a positive overall, even if it’s taken some time to get used to.
